BIG SAD FACE

Well, it was quite sad yesterday. I went to my AOL journal and it was gone.. I am sure quite a few people went to theirs and felt the same way. I didn't know what time that would happen, but Geez, a little bit of notice of when.. I thought for sure at 12 midnight.. not like at 7pm.

Does anyone else think that the next step is e-mail??? I'm already thinking about what I would do.... I have other e-mails already, but I've had my AOL e-mail for about 10 years.. I started at AOL....

Another sad face.. I won't be going to see the BSB, but that's because they are playing at a place that is standing room only... What were they thinking??? Their fans aren't teeny boppers anymore!!! LOL... I know that they can't fill the big stadiums or arena's anymore, but they could have played at some where like the Greek Theater

Or somewhere else like the Gibson Amphitheater

I'm TOO old to stand for 2 hours for a concert!!!!

*Thanks D**

It IS sad to have your blog just...gone. I did not move my old one over from AOL, I had been blogging a long time. Yet, some poeple had been blogging with AOL for quite a while. While there was a way to move the blog over, it was complicated.

If AOL does away with e-mail, in my opinion AOL might as well shut down entirely. I will have to look into getting another e-mail address myself. Thanks for the heads up.

Have a great day!! I hope that today has been better. I absolutely LOVE the picture of the sunset. It is gorgeous!

yes it is sad - I think AOL is doing away with as much as they can - I have had aol since it was 3.0 - over 11 years - but I also have a gmail address now and slowly incorporating my mail to that one - I just do not trust aol!
I definitely know the feeling of being too old for the standing at concerts - that and the volume for me is just not appealing anymore!!!

It was actually yesterday morning sometime that the journals disappeared. I thought that was ironic, as the definite close date was suppose to be Nov. 1st. The best I could figure was they wanted it done before the weekend.

I think AOL mail will still be around. They've actually updated the mail site...then again we just celebrated 5 years who would think it would turn around and bite us so soon afterwards.

Either way I've already set up a gmail account, seeing as I was using Blogger anyway. Sorry to hear you won't be attending the BSB concert. It does seem strange it's standing room only. Have a great weekend hon! (Hugs)Indigo

Now that is FUNNY !! I needed to lighten up and just happen to open the J Land email this morning before we trek to church in Kenosha, WI. I would bet that about 99% of our Baptist congregation will vote for McCain/ Palin !

I wonder about the aol email also. It is the one I use almost all the time. I would think they will be losing lots of business getting rid of the journals. Why didn't they invite us to start blogs there I wonder?

I was sad too...so much of my life was there. Yes, I transferred it..but just not the same.
I heard somewhere that AOL is completely shutting down sometime after the first of the year...no clue how true that is.

I had to click on my link also, just to see for myself if it was really wiped out. And sure enough..it was gone. Very sad, I agree.

Aw, you can do it. We all know how you love BSB and I am sure the adrenaline will kick in and you'll be full of energy you didn't realize you had. LOL
